Six Looks We Love in Matcha’s Complicated Music Video

Matcha is cementing her image as a fashion icon in her second album. She previously made her debut as the first artist at the White Fox label with the release of her digital album “DREAMING” in 2021. Today, Matcha is ready to bring colour back into the world with work that takes inspiration from reggaeton music, a blend of hip-hop and Jamaican dancehall rhythm, as well as an overview of Matcha’s style under the name “Angelogy.” The first single, “Complicated,” expresses the viewpoint that one’s attitude towards love must be unambiguous and clear.

Matcha described her feelings about the new release by saying “I have fun and feel very sexy with this song. There is a small surprise in between the songs that made me say ‘ouch.’ It came unexpectedly. I like reggaeton music and am very happy to be able to include this style of music on this single. In the MV, I like the dance scene the most, even though it’s the hardest part. The dance scene took several takes to make it perfect. It is a big dance scene that is very strong and powerful, making it a very difficult scene. Another difficult scene is when I have to stand on clear glass on a tall scaffolding because I am afraid of heights and the space is very narrow. When the director tells me to stand up in heels, I can’t stand up (laughs). But at the end, when I do it slowly, the scene can be done. I want everyone to watch this scene in the MV. It’s fun and easy to dance along with. I hope that everyone who sees it will feel like they want to dance with this song.”
